James M. Andrews papers, 1846-1892.

Papers include correspondence, legal documents, receipts, poems, nursery price lists, and home recipes and remedies. While James was in Texas, he received letters from his father, E. Andrews, discussing relatives, local affairs, and crop conditions in Clinton, Louisiana. Later papers consist of tax and merchandise receipts, Confederate bonds, and the succession accounts of Mrs. Louisa Andrews. Letters from M. Parham, James' daughter, of Amite, Louisiana, describe economic conditions in that area.
